About Us

With my love for all things off road, I purchased my first new Toyota Landcruiser in 1982. Next was a Toyota Double Cab Hilux in 1985. I combined my huge interest in local history with taking friends in to Skippers Canyon or up the Arrow River to Macetown. Their elation with these dramatic locations got me thinking of our trips to Europe and where a great guide made for a great trip. This created the strong build blocks of the business we have today by sticking to Kiwi owned, Kiwi operated and passionate Kiwi guides.

From those humble beginnings we have grown to now be the largest Off Road Tour Company in the world, offering 4×4 tours with our Toyota Landcruisers and Suzuki U-Drive 4×4′s, and add to that, over 120 dirt, quad & road bikes. We now offer tours to suit, from a few hours to a few weeks.

After more than 21 years of doing what we love, we have not lost our focus as we continue to offer real kiwi adventures. We cater for all, from history buffs, Lord of the Rings fans to off road enthusiasts, we will give you the adventure of your life!
Denis “The Boss” Columb

Denis Columb

With nearly 20 years in Queenstown, Günthar has spent more than his fair share of time getting out in the back country and still jumps at every chance to get out there again.
